#1. WHAT TO WEAR

You might be asking yourself “what am I even supposed to wear?!” No worries, here are a few tips and suggestions on how to dress.

Philanthropy Night: The first night is very casual/cute. No athletic shorts, but you can definitely show your personality through a nice pair of shorts or a cute skirt.

Sisterhood Night: This night is a little bit fancier, but still a fun casual. Wear a favorite dress(no need to buy something new) of yours with some wedges!

Preference Night: Final night of week girls you're almost done! No need for a long formal dress... but understand that this is the night you'll pull out your nicest looking dress.

#2. WHAT TO SAY

What do I talk about at a party with a member?

Remember to be yourself and understand that we are just looking forward to getting to know you. We want to hear about all of your favorite things that make you who you are! Conversations will flow trust us and don't worry about saying the perfect response that's the least of our concern!

#3. LIFE IN A SOROITY

Is being a member of a sorority actually as hype as everyone says?

Greek life is what you make of it. The effort you put into your sorority directly correlates with the memories and joys that come from a sisterhood. So many girls are going through the exact same process right alongside you, and understand that putting yourself out there can be intimidating. Just hang in there and you truly will find your best friends and create lifelong memories with them.

#4. TIME MANAGEMENT

How do I manage college and everything else is on my plate during the week of recruitment?

Be prepared to have a busy schedule, but understand that everything will get done(it always does). College is different from high school and this week will help you prioritize self care, a social life, and most importantly school work. Remember to have fun and take it day by day!

#5. FAITH + GREEK LIFE

How will a sorority affect my faith and campus involvement at Samford?

Being in a sorority encourages sisterhood and friendships within it, but it also pushes you to excel in your major, grow in your faith, and plug into other communities as well. Even though Chi Omega has functions and events specifically for our organization that deepen our sisterhood, it also challenges you to figure out your God-given talents and apply them in other areas of campus life.
